Duke University
Established by Duke University School of Medicine, the Dastgheib Pioneer Award in Ocular Innovation recognizes individuals whose work has made a significant contribution to the field of ophthalmology, particularly innovations that have demonstrated real-world clinical impact.
Award recipients are selected from around the world and are not required to have a direct affiliation with Duke University. While most years recognize a single recipient, the award has, on occasion, been conferred upon multiple honorees, including clinicians and scientists from diverse backgrounds.
