Duke's Best Ophthalmic Resident

Established in 2000 at the Duke University Eye Center, the Dastgheib Surgical Excellence Award is presented annually to a senior ophthalmology resident who demonstrates exceptional surgical skill, judgment, and professionalism.

The award reflects Duke’s longstanding commitment to excellence in ophthalmic surgery and recognizes residents whose clinical performance exemplifies the highest standards of patient care.
